TAIPEI, TAIWAN – On the evening of January 4, 2017, Family First Taiwan (FFT) hosted its annual partnership dinner, filling the entire ballroom with over 240 guests from its many Taiwanese partners, including business, church, media, academic, arts and civic leaders. Former Director General of National Security Bureau, Shih-Zhong Huang and his daughter also attended. Former FFT CEO, Jane Shen and Sherman Day, incoming CEO, both shared FFT successes and plans and indicated how the work of FFT has been supported and inspired by Family First Asia (FFA) and the Fellowship of Fathers Foundation (FoFF).
As an FoFF partner in the Family First Asia network, Family First Taiwan seeks to build up the family as the cornerstone of a harmonious society and to foster strong family relationships. The evening’s success displayed FFT’s commitment to bring together a wide variety of organizations to help men and women become better dads and moms and husbands and wives. The number and range of attendees demonstrates the breath of commitment to FFT among various sectors of life in Taiwan.
The evening program included FFT board members and staff partaking as dancers, speakers, and emcees. The opening, a boxing dance called “Fight for your family-Protect them from bad,” set the theme for the event. A renowned tenor sang “Prayer” and an eighteen-year-old singing contest champion gave testimony to the importance of fatherhood, then, he graced the audience with “Wild Child” and “How long has it been since I told you I love you?” Many in the audience were in tears, deeply moved by the message of the performances. The event was a great success for Family First Taiwan and all of its many partners from all over Taiwan.
